Role details:
Our client in the ITsector is looking for Business Development Manager, The incumbent must possess a unique blend ofbusiness and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Purpose of position:
Promote the sale of products bydeveloping client relationships, increasing the skill level within the company and clients as wellas advising clients in the configuration and pricing of the solutions
Key Responsibility Areas:

Promotethe sale of products effectively and efficiently to customers via personal visits, telephone andemail contact, marketing and training events
Prospect for new customers and generateinterest in products with clients currently not reselling from the company
Identify anddevelop underperforming customers
Work closely with the vendor on deals/tenders to ensurethey are secured for the company and its resellers
Involve the vendor and sales in customermeetings, be tactful in the approach and follow through with at least three key action points permeeting
Work closely with resellers, understand their targets from the vendor and gainmajority market share within their businesses
Provide first level technical advice onproducts and keep customers informed of new developments in product set
Professionally andefficiently manage customers engagement with a view to maximizing the client experience
Reports on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline)
Display accuracyregarding messages, quotes, orders and information given
Answer customer queries, offerproduct information
Consult with clients to establish the needs of their business
Ensure customer expectations are met – order taking and delivery
Increase overallcustomer satisfaction of new and existing customers’ base in order to be effective in solvingchallenges that arise and need to be solved for the customers
Report weekly on allactivities wins and losses

Education andExperience:

Matric passed with exemption (essential)
RelevantDegree/Diploma (preferred)
Minimum 4 years front line sales experience in IT products(essential) Technical Competencies:
Building and maintaining relationships with existingand new Business Partners
Business development and program management within your allocatedBusiness Partner accounts
Recruitment and enablement of new Business Partner
Account planning and performance analysis
Exceeding sales targets
Preparing ofPartner Plans and business development plans
Facilitating technical and brand salestraining for your Business Partners
Facilitating and assistance with marketing events togenerate leads for your Business Partners
