Specialist: ICT OperationsCape town Permanent   Main Purpose: The ICT Operations Specialist role is responsible forproviding advanced technical support and guidance in a specialized ICT infrastructure domain toensure that technology meets agreed business expectations. The incumbent will be responsible forensuring that the technology domain is built, implemented as per design and supported in line withbusiness expectations, while identifying and escalating technical risks and issues.   KeyResponsibilities: Implement technology solutions in line with business requirements andpre-approved Architectural designs/ solutions/ configurations and ensure that these are welldocumented Ensure IT Service continuity through robust and practical plans, which encompass (but notlimited to) infrastructure redundancy, backup strategies and software patch management DevelopOperational and Support policies and procedures and ensure they are executed Evaluate ChangeRequests to establish the impact on both business and technical performance. Skills and Experience
Minimum Requirements Relevant Certificate or Diploma covering technologies such as: Microsoft, LAN,WAN, desktop, laptop, server, storage and telephony mediums Experience in managing an environmentwith technical specialists Practical experience in delivering projects and updates in a formalisedframework i.e. ITIL ITIL foundation level Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Infrastructureenvironment Experience in the Financial Services industry is an advantage Email: Andrea.Messina@eoh.com
