Role details:
Responsible for managing, maintaining and providing technical input to the API platform in the organisation, with a strong focus on Tibco Mashery. Ensure proper change and incident management processes are followed and applied to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:- Responsible to oversee the design, establishment and maintenance of the API platform,
- Operational responsibility for availability and performance of API platforms on a 24x7 basis to meet SLAs with the Telkom service organisations
- Ensure continuous Process improvement and automation
- Manage Operational and Project Performance, including change management, release management, project management and execution
- Manage Changing Operational Needs, including the alignment of new technologies requirements with system functionality
- Strong communication skills
- Liaise with analyst and development teams with regards to CRs that are dependend on the API layer that connect to multiple systems.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with all systems across the enterprise.
- Business engagement, including communication.
- Deliver quality solutions.
- Conceptualize, articulate and support the build of technical solutions
- Identify internal and external resources needed in order to create customized solutions
- Mentoring fellow team of Integration support staff
- Lead technical solution and integrated deliveries
- Contribute to the establishments of new platforms according to best practices
Functional Knowledge:
- API Best Practices
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Docker Swarm
- Knowledge CI tools such as Jenkins and Hudson
- Data Communications Protocols/ Technologies including HTTP, JMS, etc.
- Service Oriented Architecture principles
- Core Technologies such as XML and XML Schema, Web Services
Qualifications:
Relevant 3 year degree/ diploma (NQF level 7)
Experience:
Functional experience on API platforms such as Tibco Mashery
