Job Responsibilities Strategic Planning
- Develops strategies for further review.
- Full project life cycle planning

Project Management
- Instructs and manages external project management consultants.
- Project managing delivery of development projects, ensuring the construction stages of developments are on time, to budget and
to required standards, while monitoring performance against key performance indicator targets.
- Reviews the preparation and negotiating of bid packages.
- Reviews the preparation of contract documents.
- Overviews the management of each contract, reporting progress on a regular basis.
- Manages the completion/approval stages and the issue of construction certificates.
- Monitors progress and oversees Practical Completion, final certificates in consultation with management and the appropriate
Certifier
- Attending site meetings to represent Gyro with contractors, developers and consultants
- Regularly monitoring and reporting progress on projects to the Executive PMO
- Undertaking scheme viability and financial appraisals in accordance with the Gyro procedures and in line with business objectives.
- Coordinating arrangements at scheme handover to Property and Facility management, including pre-handover inspection visits and
provision of rent and service charge information.
- Dealing with defects and other post completion matters during the Defects Liability Period.
- Coordinating the design process, ensuring that all relevant regulatory requirements and the Company#s Design Brief and
Employers Requirements are complied with.
- Appointing consultants, agents and suppliers, ensure effective management monitoring of their performance.
- Monitors progress and oversees Practical Completion, final certificates in consultation with management and the appropriate
Certifier.

Management Reporting
- Ensures accurate and timely information is available for monthly Management Reports, covering all aspects of each project.
- Implementation of Diploma's policies and procedure
Required Certification Membership with the SA Council for Quantity Surveying or SACPCMP accreditation
Qualifications Minimum 3 Year Degree/ Diploma (NQF level 6), in the Built Environment. Posession of a Post Graduate qualification in Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience Minimum 7 years relevant experience in a Property/ Procurement related commercial environment is required with at least 3 years at senior management level in an established project management company.
Experience in the management of Masts & Towers is a requirement for this position
Experience in property development, built environment, and/or outsourced facilities management or project management extensive project planning and/or construction of commercial buildings.
Experience in full project Lifecycle including Costs estimating and or Operating Costs.
