Tasks to be performed

Output
Participates in the development of the ICT budget and manages expenditure within budget parameters.
1. Performs analysis of new or existing systems, applying best practice analysis procedures to understand if they are running as per standard.
2. Completes detailed documentation of system where analysis has been done.
3. Works closely with all the relative parties involved.
4. Provide clear communication of analysis to customers and / or internal teams.
5. Monitors and reports on services provided.
6. Ensures high satisfaction levels

Knowledge & Experience required to do the Job
- In-depth knowledge of Operating Systems
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware
- In-depth working knowledge of MS Server and Desktop products
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory (incl group policies, security procedures and schema management)
- In-depth knowledge of MS Exchange
- Good understanding of Retail Systems and processes
- Good understanding of Security standards
- Good understanding of automated installation procedures
- Good understanding of network routing and configuration (LAN & WAN)
- Good understanding of virtualization platforms (specifically VMware)
- Good understanding of MS SQL Server, and other Database engines.
- Post-Matric technology qualification or equivalent
- Good understanding of 3rd party Service Providers
- At least 10 years’ relevant working experience
- Strong Understanding of Server / Network & Desktop Hardware
- Understanding Telecommunication and Network technologies (Diginet,PABX,VOIP,ADSL, TCP/IP)
