Technical ProductOwner – Data Cape Town An investment / Asset management company is looking for a dynamicTechnical Product Owner who will be responsible for managing the development backlog, analyzingsystems for possible improvements, and for facilitating close collaboration between the technicaland business stakeholders throughout the systems development lifecycle.  The individual will report directly to the Product Owner team lead within the Information Systemsteam. The individual will work closely with the data warehouse team. Facilitate formal workshops &ongoing active communication between the development team and other stakeholders Closely collaboratewith all stakeholders ensuring data warehouse and business intelligence solution design andimplementation is continually aligned with ongoing changes in business requirements, productstrategy, the long-term IT architecture & overarching IT strategy Facilitate agile refinement &sprint planning sessions between business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts and thedevelopment team Report on development & testing progress to stakeholders Report on impediments toprogress and actively work to remove or mitigate the effect Negotiate the priority and delivery ofbusiness value with all stakeholders in accordance with resource availability, logical tasksequencing and other technical constraints Work closely with all departments, translating businessrequirements into operational system solutions Review, interpret and analyze business rules andrequirements related to the data warehouses, business intelligence and reporting systems Supplementrules and requirements with functional, non-functional & technical specifications, document these assolution acceptance criteria Document other business and technical specifications as requiredthrough user stories, data dictionaries and associated diagrams (activity, sequencing, entityrelationship, deployment, etc.) Develop and manage the team backlog (of outstanding deliverables)Ensure extensive system testing occurs prior to production Review completed development to ensurealignment with requirements Assist in setting up operational procedures and training manuals

Skills and Experience
REQUIREMENTS Experience required: 5+ years as a product owner, business or systems analyst Solidunderstanding in the areas of data warehousing, ETL design, business intelligence and reporting Aproven track record of implementing word-class Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutionsStrong knowledge of the investment management industry Experience managing the delivery of Agiledevelopment teams Systems Knowledge required: Advanced knowledge & competency in: Core MicrosoftOffice Suite – specifically Excel, but also Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Microsoft SQL Suite– SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS. Knowledge of the following would be a distinct advantage: Atlassian JIRA Best of breed BusinessIntelligence suites. Non-Microsoft reporting suites (e.g. Crystal Reports, Vermilion) Basic knowledge & competency in: The data modelling process for operational data warehouses Designwith service-oriented architecture (SOA) and APIs  Qualifications: Graduate student inAccounting, Investment Management or Computer Science fields (with strong Mathematical/Accountingbackground or subject knowledge an advantage) Agile (Scrum / Kanban) certifications Contact:Liesl.deBruyn@eoh.co.za
