Our ExternalClient is currently in a process i recruiting for a Legal Specialist -  Auditing, Investigationsand Forensic to guide, assist and support the client  to execute its audit mandate, functions andpowers in accordance with the law.

Duties andResponsibilities:
Legal supportto governance structures and core and non-core functions  

Provide authoritative legal advice and support to the clients’sgovernance structures. 
Provide authoritativelegal advice and support on client's core (audit and investigation) and non-corefunction 

StakeholderManagement:

Engage withvarious audit stakeholders to support the remedial and referrals process asrequired. 
Support the engagement with relevantlaw enforcement authorities such as Public Protector, National Prosecuting Authority and SpecialInvestigation Unit.

Financial management and operationalmanagement: 

Ensurecompliance to clients policies and procedures. 
Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures. 

Norms and standards for quality control: 

Conduct local and international research to identify bestpractice. 
Draft uniform norms and standards forquality assurance of legal products. 
 Assist in the development of related training material and the presentation thereofto all affected legal advisors. 
Track andmonitor the compliance with the norms and standards 

Legislative development: 

Conduct continuous research to gauge the adequacy and relevance of theclient's enabling legislation. 
Draftclient's  enabling legislation, amendments thereto and regulations. 
Assist the leadership to pass legislative changes through the parliamentaryprocess. 
Assist the organisation to implementand align to changes to the enabling legislation. 

Regulatoryinstruments: 

 Provide legal input into regulatory instruments developed by instrumentowners. 

Knowledge and information management:

Develop and maintain a centralised database of legal guidance andlegal opinions. 
Gather and managementinformation from other legal teams.


Skills, Experience &Education
Experience:


2years post admission experience in a law firm for an attorney or at the bar for an advocateExperience in a forensic investigation environment 
Experience in public procurement law 
Experience in commercial litigation 
Experience in administrative law 
Experience in company law 
Registrationwith a relevant professional body 

Qualification: 

LLB 
Admitted as attorney or advocateof the High Court of South Africa
Post graduatequalification in forensic investigation will be an added advantage (for example ACFE,ICFP)
