Our client, a largeIT distribution company is currently in a process in recruiting a Business Development Manager -Veritas to promote the sale of products by developing client relationships and advising clients inthe configuration and pricing of the solutions.

KeyResponsibility Areas:

Promote the sale of products effectively and efficiently to customers via personalvisits, telephone and email contact, marketing and training events.
Prospect for new customers and generate interestin products with clients currently not reselling from the employer.
Identify and develop underperformingcustomers.
Work closelywith the vendor on deals/tenders to ensure they are secured for the client and itsresellers.
Involve theVendor and sales in customer meetings, be tactful in the approach and follow through with at leastthree key action points per meeting.
Work closely with resellers, understand their targets from the vendor and gain majoritymarket share within their businesses.
Provide first level technical advice on products and keep customers informed of newdevelopments in product set.
Professionally and efficiently manage customers engagement with a view to maximizingthe client experience.
Reports on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
Display accuracy regarding messages, quotes,orders and information given.
Answer customer queries, offer product information.
Consult with clients to establish the needs oftheir business.
Ensurecustomer expectations are met – order taking and delivery.
Increase overall customer satisfaction of new andexisting customers’ base in order to be effective in solving challenges that arise, and needto be solved for the customers.
Report weekly on all activities wins and losses.

TechnicalCompetencies:

Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new BusinessPartners
Businessdevelopment and program management within your allocated Business Partner accounts
Recruitment and enablement of newBusiness Partner
Accountplanning and performance analysis
Exceeding sales targets
Preparing of Partner Plans and business development plans
Facilitating technical and brand sales trainingfor your Business Partners
Facilitating and assistance with marketing events to generate leads for your BusinessPartners

Education and Experience

Matric/Grade 12
IT tertiary qualification preferential
Minimum 3 years front line sales and businessdevelopment experience (essential)
