Role details:
BCX UCS TS, seeks the expertise Of an on-Site Support Representative to deliver support as prescribed by the SLA for all clients.
The purpose of the job is to deliver on site services to retail customers.

JOB CONTENT
•Maintain a 95% SLA as per on site departments goal per month.
•Maintain 80% productivity for the month.
•Reduce the average time per on site call to 120 minutes per call per month.
•Provide all information or documentation required to complete a call or project.
•Have all documentation completed per call or project and submitted within the time allocation.
•Complete all information required to close or update a call on simplicity.
•Provide feedback to clients on status of calls.
•Ensures high levels of co-operation with other business units / departments in UCS and external to achieve client satisfaction and business growth.
•Maintain good relations with all internal departments and assist where required and within the time frame.

QUALIFICATIONS
At least 1 to 5 years relevant working experience
Relevant experience in retail / Pharmacy services.
Requires flexibility to work long hours and after hours.
Comptia A+ , N+, Linux+ or relevant working experience

EXPRIENCE:
An understanding of Networks and Server environments (Windows 2003, Windows 2008 Server, Exchange 2010, SBS Server 2003, SBS Server 2008)
Understanding (Desktop operating systems MS Windows 98,XP,Vista, 2007)
Understanding of Server / Network & Desktop Hardware
Understanding Telecommunication systems (Diginet, VOIP, ADSL)
Understanding of group policies and security procedures
Good knowledge of hardware and operating systems.
Good understanding of the total UCS business model.
In depth knowledge of the customer business environments.
In depth understanding of the client’s SLA’s and how they are set up.
Good understanding of the retail service lines.
Good knowledge of IT trends.
Trouble shooting hardware and software problems (Linux based Servers & Desktop computers)
Trouble shooting 3rd party software used by desktop users
Maintaining Linux based services such as Samba, NFS, VSFTPD, etc.
Basic scripting knowledge required for setting up automated backups, comms-switchover scripts etc.
Installation and maintenance of EFT (Traderoot) service.
Working knowledge of UCSTS software packages
Maintaining VPN and Firewall Solution
Reporting and logs monitoring.

WORK SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Requires overnight travel away from home from time to time.
Own vehicle (petrol reimbursed according to policy)
Own cell phone (reimbursed according to company policy) available 24/7
Any other instruction handed down by the line manager from time to time.
