Knowledge: Able to have an end-to-end vision and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved. Must have a deep understanding of Investment Banking its products, services and data.Technologies: Data Integration: Extract Transform Load (ETL), batch architecture and frameworks, Event Driven Architecture. SOA & Web Services, Logical Database Design, XML and related technologies.Technical Skills: Very clear background in managing data and delivering detailed gap analysis to the business. Investment banking experience is essential in this role.Responsibilities: Participating and contributing to the banks Data Governance Frameworks, Presenting the data architecture vision of RMB to Architecture Board for approval, Getting buy-in for the architecture vision from stakeholders which includes the business, project team and other architects as well as developers, Act as the Data Architect during the life of projects to ensure the project aligns to the architecture and that the vision is kept alive during the construction phase of the project. Defining all data requirement for a project and making sure they are fully tested during the testing phase of the project, Progress reporting to senior management and the business.
