Job Description
Postilion Specialist. Ability to design, install, modify troubleshoot and resolve Postilion software and infrastructure as well as provide general technical consulting on systems to clients and field service engineers, co-operating with sales and support personnel on client requirements and needs as well as assisting junior and new staff members in technical functions

CONTEXT: Take cognisance of industry compliance requirements; the need to be aware of changes in clients operational and medium to long term objectives and ICT requirements; understand the current BCX service model; the need to be aware of and adhere to SLA / OLA requirements; have a conceptual understanding of the Service delivery model; awareness of latest updates of Service Catalogue which form the basis of Service delivery; the need to be in alignment with Client Services Models; awareness of emerging and current technology.

CUSTOMERS: Data Centre Services Clients; Data Centre Service departments ; other Infrastructure Services Managers: Technical Support Service Delivery (e.g. SDMs).

ROLES: Applications support; capacity management; conduct research; change management; database administration; data analysis within a project environment; data analysis within a (non-project) corporate environment; documentation/technical authoring; hardware/software installation; porting/software integration systems; integration systems testing; pre-sales support to the SMC pre-sales team. Self-developer of skills in Postilion trends.

This position is for a Senior Postilion Administrator.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Grade 12,and relevant Bachelors Degree or 3 year Diploma .

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 9 - 12 years experience in an IT environment with special emphesis on Postilion.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Cellular phone; driver's license; motor vehicle. It is the employees responsibility to effectively manage telephonic communication by: ensuring that a professional, personalised message is recorded on their cell phone and landline; ensuring that the message facility is activated when you are unavailable to take calls; regularly checking for new messages; timeously responding to all messages in order to ensure excellent customer service.
