Job Description:

A company in Pretoria East is looking for an energetic, keen and savvy technician with minimum 1 year current and related work experience in a similar environment.

The company provides outsourced IT services across Pretoria and Johannesburg and the position involves a broad spectrum of tasks ranging from workshop technical services, office-bound remote support to on-site customer desktop, server and network infrastructure support where travelling to and from customer premises is required (using company vehicles).

Candidate must be able to function productively in a demanding environment where attention to detail, quality and accuracy as well as the adherence to deadlines and self-management of time is essential.

Candidate must further:

- Be able to work effectively as an individual or as part of a team;
- Have excellent communication skills in English and/or Afrikaans;
- Be extremely well organised and have a systematic approach to problem solving.

Minimum A+ N+ qualification preferred;
Valid driverís license required;
Candidate may be required to undergo psychometric and other testing;


Workshop technical tasks including:
- Assembly of computers, notebooks and servers;
- Operating system installation;
- Hardware troubleshooting for repairs and upgrades;
In-office Helpdesk assistance via telephone, e-mail and remote connections;
In-office Server maintenance and monitoring as well as administrating critical backup solutions;
Install and implement desktop and notebook computers on Windows Active Directory domains;
Install and implement Windows servers;
Configuration and deployment of Office 365 Exchange and other solutions;
Set up and configure e-mail in Outlook;
Set up and troubleshooting of printers;
Set up and troubleshooting of wireless networks (Ubiquity);
Removal of malware and virus infections;
Assembly and repair of computer, notebook and server hardware;
Installation of Windows operating systems;
Install and terminate UTP cabling
