Role details:
Business Development Manager required for a Bank in Sandton - must have a client base with value of R 400 million.

Duties:

Attracting assets in line with targets allocated, expanding the allocated client base, assessing new business ventures and negotiating with clients
Preparing information to present to the Credit Preview Committee and completing the application within 3 working days of Credit Preview approval
Marketing to new deposit clients as well as servicing and maintaining existing deposit relationships, including renewals and extension of deposits
Maintaining relationships and expanding business on existing portfolios. Cooperating with BDD members and other relevant departments to structure the business to match client’s needs
Reviewing and posting Lending Management Reports (6 monthly) to be completed prior to due date / expiry date
Implementing the policies, rulings, procedures and PPM of Head Office and the Branch as well as complying with the Rules and Regulations of the SARB, Company Act, Bank Act, FICA, AML, etc.
Assisting BDD management with any ad hoc tasks / requirements, when required



Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in wide range of banking activities, preferably 8-10 years
Compulsory: FAIS accredited qualification
Must be able to bring in new clients for the organisation
Knowledge of domestic and international banking practices
Experience in analyzing and evaluating financial statements: Complete understanding of Balance sheet structures and Accounting principles and policies
Knowledge of the legal steps to be taken to recover bad debts: General knowledge of the legal aspects of finance and legal risks, e.g. Companies Act, Bank Act
General knowledge and understanding of collateral security documentation, the completion thereof and legal aspects when having to realize security
