Job Purpose
To support business service through the performing of Data Centre Infrastructure Resource Management services in order ensure IT infrastructure service in the Samrand DC are accessible especially after hours.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Responsible for design and capacity planning of space management of the data centre taking, power, cooling and cabling intro consideration, utilising the appropriate DCIM tools
- Under general supervision, responsible for aspects of the day-to-day operation of the portfolio with reference to troubleshooting and fixing of assigned incidents such as:
o Server and network installation issues
o Cabling issues
- Implement and ensure hardware standards and best practices within the raised floor area of the data center.
- Responsibilities including organizing, racking and stacking, reporting on, and managing the power needs.
- The Infrastructure Planner will manage logistics, transportation, and asset management of data center devices.
- Furthermore, the Infrastructure Planner will work with vendors and operations personnel to ensure data center standards are followed.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including security policies and procedures applicable in Production Services
- Responsible for the timely and effective response to IT user queries and incident within agreed timeframes
- Responsible for updating and maintaining data center technical policies and procedures
- Assist with DC audits, escorting of visitors into the DC (especially after-hours)
- Incident co-ordination with hardware vendors
- Proposes opportunities for continuous improvement of performance and quality

Service delivery management
- Interaction with Architecture and FIT teams to optimise and maintain application utilisation and service levels at a level that fully endorse GTI service level agreements with its customers
- Support to Operational Controls processes (Audits, Risk and DR& BCM governance, business processes improvements, performance management, and finance and business management), supply of requested information and implementation of corrective actions as applicable.

Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualification:
Diploma in IT and Computer Sciences
Management Development Certificate
A+, N+
Qualification in data centre infrastructure resource management systems, associated processes or similar or a technical qualification related to IMACDs
Completed the following certifications:
- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP
- Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS)
- Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM)

Experience
Years: 5-7 Years experience performing infrastructure asset management processes in a large enterprise or in a technical role that supported infrastructure management
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Knowledge and experience required to ensure provision of application maintenance and support services. Support typically takes the form of investigating and resolving problems and providing information about the systems. It may also include monitoring their performance.
Knowledge and experience required to manage all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from requests for change (RFC) through implementation and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and safety of the infrastructure.
Ability to provide optimal IT support to departments to help facilitate meeting of the Bank's objectives.
Enterprise computing infrastructure support and maintenance provision. Proficiency Level: BASIC - Applies elementary concepts to develop activities under supervision
Manage access to the data centre for all Production Services personnel
