CORE DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Manager –Accountable to implement OSS automations according to user needs in Openserve. Implement solutions after input from the Architecture group and the Business units. Retire legacy systems as required and implement new systems to replace them. Render user support to operate and maintain new OSS systems in Openserve. Support key stakeholders responsible for delivering applications as they progress through their lifecycle. All OSS systems should aim to ultimately enhance the Customer Experience (QoE).

KEY DELIVERABLES / PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Review OSS roadmaps for the existing and new products and services
• Analyse OSS flow diagrams to ensure all business requirements are captured
• Drive software application development, testing and user support
• Ensure project delivery- review communications and status reports to proactively identify issues and resolve
• Drive the reduction of vendor and internal support-related costs
• Drive collaborative initiatives with internal business partners to deliver solution implementation
• Oversee management of a multi-vendor environment in the implementation of OSS solutions
• Oversee implementation of OSS systems to ensure a positive customer experience (QoE)
• Continuous Improvement of OSS Systems:
• Drive continuous improvement of OSS Systems by ensuring systems meet business requirements
• Review, prioritize and action specialist's recommendations for improving programs, as per budget and resource availability


EXPERIENCE:

• 7 years’ experience managing complex technical projects.
• Experience with OSS Software.
• Experience with programming languages, testing procedures, and similar activities related to the software development lifecycle preferred.
• Extensive project planning and implementation experience to prioritize work activities and accomplish project goals within set timeframes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 yr (NQF 7) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• Master’s degree (NQF8) in a technical discipline preferred.
