Chase Software has an opening for a permanent position in the Information Technology sector in Johannesburg in South Africa (Gauteng).The candidate will be required to fulfill and uphold the company values of personalised, high-quality product delivery by finding solutions to problems that team members and users alike can benefit from. The candidate will be responsible for the development of business and financial applications using a combination of SQL, Javascript and C#.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:

- At least 2 years’ experience in SQL, C# and JavaScript
- A financial background or a background working and developing on financial systems
- Working experience using Microsoft Excel
- Working experience with building Web-based C# applications, Web Services and RESTful APIs
- Background of skills in SQL Server database design, SQL query design and optimization
- Experience with Entity Framework and LINQ
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively understand requirements, and explain uncertainties in a team environment
- Fast and willing learner
- Willing to do practical assignments and peer interviews for up to 3 hours as part of the interview process

Experience that would be advantageous for this role include:

- Degree or Diploma in Information Systems / Comp Sci / Engineering or similar
- Familiarity with the advertising industry
- Experience with XML and/or JSON
- Familiarity with GIT
- Automated / Unit testing experience (xUnit, nUnit, Jasmine)
- System integrations (SDK, API, Web Services, RPC)
- Working experience with DevExpress(or DevExtreme) controls

Duties include the following:

- Develop new user-facing features
- Design, build, maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Collaborate with other team members
- Be able to breakdown work into small deliverables
- Be able to estimate time to complete work
- Own transport essential to to travel to clients should the need arise
- Report writing
