Intermediate IT Helpdesk Support Technician sought to join a one-stop, full-service, technology consulting partner. This is an incredible opportunity to receive training on world-class, third-party software and will elevate your skills. Our client is a specialist IT services company that provides comprehensive, tailor-made software and support for complete technological solutions. They have an urgent requirement for a mid-level IT Helpdesk Support Technician who will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to a third-party product, a contract management system, as well as computer systems, hardware, or software. The role involves responding to queries, running diagnostics, logging tickets, isolating problems, and implementing solutions. You will be required to install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software and resolve technical problems related to LAN and WAN and other systems. You will also have risk and compliance responsibilities, ensuring client confidentiality and protecting and encrypting client data. To apply you will need a Matric coupled with Microsoft and ITIL Certifications. A Computer Science Degree or diploma would be preferred. Your solid 8 to 10 years’ experience in IT support should include server hardware installation and configuration experience; operating systems and server software installation, troubleshooting support and maintenance; experience with MS Exchange; Virtualisation (Hyper-v / VMWare); MS 365 tenants and associated management and support; Active Directory (deploying AD, adding / removing DC, GPO management, and DNS management and deployment); Azure; and general networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ICMP, NAT, IP routing & firewalling). The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); the ability to multi-task, work tight deadlines and cope under pressure; attention to detail and high level of accuracy; strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions independently; and a strong personality, self-assured, self-confident and assertive.
