Job Function: You will be responsible formanaging bids in response to Request for Proposals from customers. Bid Managers orchestrate thecreation of the solution and proposal as ‘Bid Project Managers’ ensuring compliance withcustomer requirements and highlighting the company value proposition. You will deal with highvolumes of tenders in a stressful and pressurized environment where the team have to work together.It is essential to be flexible, understand urgency and priorities. You need a constant awareness ofthe deadlines and outstanding information. You will need to be able to cope with a substantialamount of responsibility, remain calm under pressure, and be able to read and interpret instructionscarefully.  Job Description: Assemble a Bid Team with the relevant service, technical, businessknowledge required to prepare the bid. Define, schedule, and manage the proposal preparationprocess Manages and co-ordinates the activities of the proposal team Manage bids through the bidprocess – from Qualification through to Win/Loss Reviews; ensure bids are complaint,responsive and complete Reviews complex, high-level multi-BU or strategic requests for proposals(RFPs) Qualification of sales opportunities with core bid team(s) Develops proposal plans, outlinesand schedules Runs qualification and kick-off meetings Follows up with BUs on progress ofdeliverable content Reviews deliverables from solution experts according to the companies’ BidOffice best practices and re-writes content where necessary Assemble drafts and review for gaps,edit and re-write as required to ensure client focus Complete a compliance and quality reviewthroughout the process Reviews and assures quality, effective design and layout, formatting andquality assurance of bid documents to company standards Writes cover letters, executive summariesand other related generic information Oversee and coach Bid Administrator and ensures work is doneto the high standard of the company Coordinates/facilitates communication between BUs and is maincontact for BU queries relating to tenders Co-ordinate the preparation of decision documentation forthe approval processes. Provide a regularly updated bid plan to reflect the milestone events andprogress to date Acquire the necessary approvals at each stage of the bid Produce lessons learntreport after each major milestone in the bid cycle Participation in continuous improvement processrelated to Bid Management. Skills and Experience
