Role details:

We are looking for a self motivated Sales Person (Technical) with experience in emerging and digital
technologies in (Tele)Communications, Media and Entertainment verticals for our CME division.
You will be the Sales Person accountable for conducting customer facing sales activities in support of the
sales and business development team. The Sales Person will utilize knowledge of the company’s capabilities,
offerings and services as the foundation for strategic engagement, discovery, consulting as well as
formulating and delivering and proposals, RFP responses, presentations and product demonstrations to
maintain/upsell to existing and to prospective customers.
Your technical expertise and industry knowledge will also be vital to ensure the relevance and continuous
evolution of the Falcorp portfolio of offerings and services through product and solutions research and
development activities with internal SME teams, OEMs and partners.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Establish trusted long-term advisor relationship with decision makers and buyers at all levels of a
customer (C-Level to specialist).
• Understand client need.
• Assist sales team to drive demand generation with existing and prospective customers.
• Play an SI lead role by collaborating with customers, internal SMEs as well as OEMs and partners to
design and deliver solutions that solves customer problems.
• Support the sales and technical SME teams to deliver technical deep-dives, demos and trials.
• Identify opportunities within client environments for solutions or new product development.
• Responsible for engaging new customers.
• Assist in the scoping of customer requirements and services to be provided, documentation and
consultancy to the customer.
• Develop close working relationships with target customers with the Account Manager and Delivery
• Respond to customer queries.
• Conduct research on and keep abreast of ICT trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Provide business case or pricing inputs, participate in proposal defense and contract negotiations.
• Articulate solutions so that they are positioned to meet the customer’s strategic goals.
• Generation of sales, solutions and product material e.g. playbooks, proposal boilerplates, case
studies and reusable solution architecture patterns.
• Conduct product development activities to ensure the relevance and continuous evolution of the
Falcorp portfolio through engagement with internal SMEs, OEMs and partners.


Relevant degree/ diploma, e.g. IT, computer science, engineering, commerce (at least NQF level 6) is
Relevant post-graduate qualification will be an advantage.
TOGAF, eTOM or relevant IT Certification e.g. Cloud Architect certification from major cloud providers will
be an advantage.


10+ years experience in IT, Telco or Technology fields
Experience in of ICT related to Telecom, FinTech, retail, media, entertainment, manufacturing or
healthcare will be an advantage.
