• Matric
• Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science
• At least 10 years’ experience of transforming and managing significant Information and Communication Systems services
• ITIL certification
• COBIT qualification

Skills
• Experience of ICT goods and services procurement and outsourcing as well as negotiating quality, cost-effective services.
• Participated in the formulation of ICT strategy.
• Experience of ICT planning and budgeting.
• Experience in ICT risk management, including business continuity planning and ICT disaster recovery planning.
• Exceptional inter-personal skills enabling engagement with staff, peers, senior management, external organisations, agencies and industry bodies.
• A sound understanding of programme and project management and a track record of delivering and enabling large-scale complex change programmes.

Knowledge
• Demonstrable knowledge of current principles and practices for the management of information and business intelligence technologies, system/business analysis, design and operation
• An understanding of Information Systems strategy, business technology and its application at all levels and the skills to think strategically

Behaviours
• Problem resolution – has a good grasp of ICT issues and is able resolve these with a “hands-on approach”
• Effectively organizing and planning work according to institutional needs by defining objectives and anticipating needs and priorities
• Continually supporting and enhancing business through innovative technology and systems

Reference for this position is BI Director (Richards bay) which is 5-year fixed term contract position based in Richards bay (Durban North) offering a salary of R804 736 per annum - R1 158 820 per annum (maximum).
