HEAD: TRANSPORT NETWORK MANAGEMENT

TCOE SALARY: COMMENCING FROM R1 162 715 PER ANNUM

Requirements:

• A relevant engineering BTech or first degree
• Eight (8) years’ relevant experience in the field of traffic engineering
• Experience in the management and maintenance of traffic signal systems and the management of kerbside parking will be advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.

Key performance areas:

• Managing the Transport Network Management Section, including its staff and finances
• Managing the flow of traffic on arterial roads
• Leading the continuing development, management and maintenance of the City’s traffic signal system
• Leading the development and management of the City’s kerbside parking system
• Developing and overseeing the implementation of a supply chain management strategy for the section
• Leading the development of technological standards for traffic signals and kerbside parking management
• Leading the planning and execution of the capital works programme of the section
• Coordinating with other spheres of government.
