Role details:
A 6 months contract for an Integration Developer, responsible for reviewing, providing signoff and then developing integration solutions according to the technical specifications provided by the systems analysts in the Integration team.

A high degree of integration technical competence is required to perform this role adequately.
Exposure to Financial systems will be an advantage. The candidate will be expected to provide 3rd level support of integration solutions deployed into production.

Required minimum education and training:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Candidates that do not have a degree or equivalent but do have sufficient experience and training (i.e. Java Certification and related) will also be considered.


Required minimum work experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in software development. • Minimum 1 years integration experience.
• Proven ''hands on'' skills and experience, for development of application changes, customisation and configurations.


Favourable work experience:

• ESB experience.
• SOA understanding.
• UNIX and scripting knowledge.
• Experience with relational database technologies especially Oracle.
• Experience in application development – full SDLC and AGILE.
• Data take on from legacy and source systems.


Key Tasks:

• Conducts technical code reviews and provides technical assistance to less experienced team members
• Enforces the compliancy with architectural processes for projects
• To deliver integration interface solutions within defined quality parameters and within the agreed timeframes set for the particular integration development.
• To support the integration framework as well as the interfaces contained therein.
• To assist with the identification and timely repair of problematic interfaces and/or framework issues.
• To ensure that time worked is booked in a timely manner and is accurately assigned to the correct project or work request references.
• Required to design and develop high quality software solutions, perform required system and technical analysis and provide technical documentation.
• Required to feed information into the analysis and project management teams and drive development initiatives.
• Responsible for implementing and deploying solutions with minimal disruption to business continuity. Conduct effective unit testing and quality assurance of solutions.
• Train/develop/mentor skills of other members of the team.
• Drive technical innovation. • Implement and deploy solution with minimum impact to business.
