We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Application Manager to play a pivotal role in a global company's transition to the cutting-edge MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP system. Our client is a privately owned, century-old business located in over 45 countries across 5 continents. IT is based in four key strategic hubs located in Canada, France, Brazil and South Africa. The past few years has seen them embark on an exciting transformation journey which has included migrating to the cloud and embracing technology such as the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform and the adoption of Microsoft 365 F&O thereby expanding data access to drive greater innovation and efficiency. They are looking to appoint a highly skilled and results-oriented leader for the position of Business Applications Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of applications by supervising delivery teams, managing resources, and allocating work across teams, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with business needs.

One of the key aspects of this position involves leveraging your extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations to support the team assigned to the ERP transformation program. As the Business Applications Development Manager, you will lead the teams responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the ERP Operations environment. You will work closely with project managers, business and functional analysts, solution architects, and other team members to understand business requirements and drive the analysis and design of technical integration solutions that deliver maximum value. Furthermore, this role comes with the responsibility of providing guidance to the technical and functional team during the ERP transformation program, where you will actively participate in the decision-making process alongside the Leadership team.

The ideal candidate should possess a background in application development or IT experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a technical supervisory/management role with a development team of 10 or more and knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts. Additionally, you should have solid experience in implementing Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations and hold a BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely are essential. Moreover, you should be adept at coaching development teams on software development methodologies and best practices.

Solid problem-solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive results, influence change, and set priorities in a fast-paced environment are highly desirable traits. The role requires extensive experience in a collaborative, team-run environment and the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive situations.

Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of French would be considered an asset. Some knowledge of DevExpress, Web Services, T-SQL, C#, VB .NET, Visual Studio, Synergy DBL, ASP .NET, COBOL, and experience with JavaScript frameworks like vue.js, react, or angular would be advantageous.

Since this is a global company, you can work from home based in South Africa so require a good internet connection and backup for loadshedding. You will also need to be willing to travel to offices around the world especially at the beginning of the implementation, as such you should have valid passport and required health vaccines.
