The Company expects the AccessControl Product Manager to fulfil, amongst others, the following high level roles:
In general be responsible for the overall solution toensure the Company and/or Partner products are implemented effectively and optimally and to ensurethe continuous successful functioning of the solution.
Specific roles &responsibilities include:
Pre-SalesSupport / Solution Design
Assist theCompany Account Managers with the selling of the Company products and/or services, whichinclude:-
• Assistance with the solutiondesign to ensure the optimal solution is proposed to the client as per their requirements.Components could include both Company and 3rd party products.
• Work closely with the client to define systems requirements and goals by gatheringdata pertaining to customer needs and use the information to identify, predict, interpret andevaluate systems and network requirements.
•The costing of the proposed solutions, including liaising with various vendors/suppliers.
Product Implementation / Project Management
Manage the overall implementation / deployment of the clientssolutions, which include:-
•Implementation / deployment project management.
• Solution procurement management.
• Systems setup and configuration.
• Systems installation and commissioning management.
• Handover coordination, including system orientation and trainingsessions to end-users.
AfterSales Support
Supporting live systemsto ensure continuous effective operation. This include:-
• Pro-active monitoring of deployed solutions and addressing any problems.
• Providing 2nd line support to clients on deployedsystems.
• System maintenance and repairsmanagement.
• Stock management ingeneral.
Candidate Skills & Ability Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the role of Product Manager at CompanySolutions should have at least the following skills and abilities:
• Excellent understanding of IT, Computers, Web Applications, allcomponents of IT Networks (wired and wireless).
• Understanding of access control solutions.
• Professional and Friendly Customer Communication skills through all channels,specifically on the phone and over email / online tools.
• Ability and patience to listen to client problems and to talk / guide them to asolution.
• Ability to prioritise tasks andclient requests.
• Strong Project ManagementSkills - ability to manage and ensure the successful delivery of a complex project.
• Ability to manage suppliers and contractors.
• Ability to manage stock.
• Be hands-on with strong knowledge of professional IT installationpractices.
Education and other Requirements:-
• Matric with relevant tertiary qualification: National Diploma, ITDegree, MCSE, MCSA, A+/N+.
• Excellent Englishand Afrikaans written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Own carand valid driver’s license.
• Excellentproblem solving skills.
• High energylevels.
• Excellent people interactionskills.
• Career orientated/hands-on workphilosophy.
• Strong administration skills andextremely organised.
Experience:-
• A minimum of 5+ years in a technical environment (IT hardware/networks) thatinvolved IT
Project Management.
• Experience on access control systems will bebeneficial.
