Role details:
To provide leadership across multiple initiatives to enable and deliver disruptive cloud base Fintech solutions for Nedbank. Ensuring these solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, maintainable and have a good operational and security posture.

Job Responsibilities Architect, design, implement and drive scalable next generation system cloud architectures and automation solutions within Nedbanks Digital Disruption Stream.
Act as a technical liaison between clients, product owners, security specialists, full stack developers and support engineers.
Ensure that the digital solutions functional and non-functional requirements are appropriately managed, and the application supports the agreed product vision and high-level capabilities.
Ensure solutions are highly available scalable and meet the requirements of modern SDLC practices
Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in various emerging technology areas i.e. (IoT, Cloud, AI, Robotics, Block chain etc.)
Provide mentorship to engineers within the group across all aspects of their roles, from development best practices, system design, continuous delivery and expectation managements
Prototype new Emerging Technologies in order to complement new platform adoption recommendations within Nedbanks Digital Disruption Stream.
Advise business on how to quickly translate potential opportunities into executable technology solutions utilizing existing Fintech and / or cloud enabled platforms;
Serve as a change management evangelist providing thought leadership to teams within the organization on new innovative ways of working in order to further streamline the current execution lifecycle.
Act as a customer champion, continuously advocating for a superior customer experience though out the product lifecycle
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Diploma
Preferred Qualification
BSc (Computer Science), BCom (Information Systems). Professional Qualification Level 6 (Look at new degree naming conventions)
Preferred Certifications
Togaf Certification, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or equivalent
Minimum Experience Level
6 to 8 years managing a team of engineers
Experience in using cloud technologies in solving problems, namely Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud etc
Demonstrating a proficiency across several diverse technologies. I.E. Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Perl, etc. .
Demonstrating an understanding of clustered application containerization technologies, i.e. Docker Swarm, Kubernetes.
Discuss where you have incorporated a custom or off the shelf analytics engine (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture) into a greater solution to gather customer insights, and how this impacted the overall solution.
Demonstrating an understanding of Dev-Ops and has experience with one or more tools within a continuous digital delivery lifecycle. These can include Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo, Buddybuild, Testflight, HockeyApp etc
Demonstrate how they maintain awareness of opportunities provided by new technology to address challenges or to enable new ways of working.
Experience of delivery in the finance industry is a plus
