MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Purchasing Management Diploma/Degree.Five (5) years in the engineering/construction business, mostly purchasing - ideally ten (10) years in the engineering industry with experience in construction or estimating purchasing.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.Ability to accurately describe and assess the status of a construction project and provide possible solutions. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with subcontractors, suppliers and clients.Excellent negotiation skills.Excellent time management. Excellent problem solving abilities and experience with complex transactions.Attention to detail. Basic contract law. Knowledge on legal terms & conditions (purchase or sales) Some electrical, hydraulics and C & I knowledge.
