Role details:
• Produce exception Reports to relevant stakeholders to address data anomalies, non-conformances, stock threshold breaches to prompt procurement process.
• Verify and audit continuously the Quality and accuracy of the Storeroom data to ensure conformance to the agreed SLA per operation
• An IMACD call must be logged for any equipment that needs to be moved in and out of the storeroom
• Logistics resource to have control of all movement of equipment to and from the store room area
• Logistics resource to have control of access to the keys to the store room
• Responsible for the process around ownership of the keys and control to the IT storeroom

• Responsible for the process around ownership of the keys and control to the IT storeroom
• Only authorized logistics individual will have the authority and control of the storeroom keys. Should the authorized individual not be available the store room key will be transferred to another authorized individual as per documented process
• Upon receiving the call the IT personnel will have to go to the authorised individual to acquire accompanied access to the store room in which case the authorised individual will have to open the store room and assist with what is required
• Documentation (Equipment Forms) will have to be completed by IT personnel, given to authorised individual who will take out what is required, verified, and signed by IT personnel and authorised individual.
• Upon delivering of IT equipment to user, IT personnel will ensure that user will verify and sign for receiving IT equipment and the returning of replaced IT equipment. IT personnel will also ensure that a CI template has been done for assets that has been issued. (Refer IT Asset Equipment Forms)
• Logistics resource to ensure that no call will be closed until the following has been done. CMDB/Storeroom must be updated and fully completed and signed off forms must be attached on the calls that were logged. Completion of all fields on documentation is compulsory.
• Inventory will be audited by means of physical stock count and verification on a quarterly basis by any one of the authorised individuals who is not in possession of the store room keys. The inventory in the store room will be verified against inventory list.
• The authorised individual who carried out the quarterly inventory audit will then sign the IT-Equipment Store room Inventory Check Take over form, which will be found inside the store room and indicate in the action field that a quarterly audit has been done and the result.
• The authorised individual who takes the inventory over will sign the IT-Equipment Store room Inventory Check Take over form which will be found inside the safe and indicate in the action field that inventory and keys take over has been done.
• Review, update And Audit Data Integrity from physical audits, refresh project and provide exception reporting
• Raise non-conformances to the Change and Request process to protect the integrity of the Storeroom data
• Attending logistics workshops and Configuration Management meetings.
Reviewing and Compiling work instructions and procedures.
• Initiate and participate in CSI initiatives and process improvements
• Participate in Transitions and Transformation projects
• Responsible for accepting delivered stock into the storeroom and collecting IT equipment to be accepted into the IT Store room.
• Responsible to baseline what has been ordered and delivered are aligned. Report on any deviations before accepting the stock into the storeroom
• Cross skill with CMDB resources per operations.
• Both roles will support and stand in for each other when the other is on leave, training etc.
Job Requirements -
• Grade 12, NQF Level 4 and awareness of ITIL v3
• provided from the operations centre
• The need to be aware of a multiple client environment i.e. different contracts, service level agreements
• The need to comply with security, environmental and all other BCX policies
• The need to comply with the BCX Service Management framework
• The need to be aware of new developments in respect of information technology as well as be responsive to the dynamic environment in which this takes place
• An awareness of the requirements and implications of the Information, Communication and Technology requirements
• Client Touch points and reporting on IT Asset stock and Thresholds breached
• Client Touch points with procurement
2 years work experience in the IT Industry as well as a Grade 12
