One of the top banking client based in Sandton is looking for a highly skilled TECHNICAL SPECIALIST, you will have the overall responsibility for the IBM MDM InfoSphere CE PIM (Product Catalogue) solution design, construction, implementation and systems integration. You will be responsible for the Technical Design and correct functioning of any of the custom work in the solution and the testing and integration to other components in the solution set. Deep JAVA programming and scripting skills is essential.

Qualification/s
(Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferred)
• Certification, accreditation, or equivalent experience within the JEE/WebSphere/Infosphere and/or Integration discipline will be advantageous.
• 6+ years’ hands-on experience in an IT environment
• 6+ year’s hands-on specialization with JEE-Application Development Frameworks, Application Servers and IBM Integration technologies.
• 6+ year’s hands-on experience on IBM MDM technologies

Minimum required experience:
• Over 6 year’s hands-on JAVA programming/analysis/design and scripting skills in Operating Systems (Windows Unix and Linux).
• J2EE (Servlet, JSP, JDBC, JMS), Struts, Hibernate, Eclipse, Open Source Frameworks
• Object oriented JavaScript/jQuery
• Over 6 years of knowledge of the IBM InfoSphere MDM Standard, Collaborative Edition or Advanced Edition MDM suite - Advanced to Expert Level.
• Experience in MDM Workbench
• Experience in MDM Application Toolkit
• Over 6 years’ experience with either Oracle and/or DB2 databases, with high volume
• Hands on experience on Infosphere integration with other components of the integration pipeline
• Experience in Infosphere performance tuning and issue resolution
• Ability to facilitate discussions and drive toward quick decisions.
• Solid experience on integration protocols (e.g. Web Services (SOAP/XML), REST & JSON, and MQ), and the related SOA-security requirements/models.
• Methodological skills (e.g. Requirements Management, risk-based testing, Scrum, etc.)
• Software development methods (Waterfall, V-Model, Scrum, Agile)
• Solid experience of the practical challenges that exist in an integrated project delivery environment.
• Self-driven, self-starter, technology leader, work independent, respected for technical capabilities.

Advantageous experience (not a disqualifier):
• Ability to understand complex data models
• Ability to grasp data challenges and business drivers of the enterprise and provide guidance on how to leverage the MDM solution to address them.
• Ability to work on different tiers of the application
• Experience with integrated system environments
• Experience in system & application architecture, design & infrastructure
• Experience with the architecture and provisioning of enterprise mature Java Development Frameworks to Java Application Development Teams (best practices & patterns, scalability in a high volume, multi-threading, banking environment, re-use and standardization, security considerations, deployment architecture like automated application builds, software configuration management & tools, etc.)
• Good understanding of the SOA and Application Integration challenges in a big corporate environment with ESB’s e.g. WebSphere Message Broker, Data Power, MQ-Series)

Skills (Technologies, systems or software knowledge etc.):
• Expert experience and skills in design and Java/ J2EE and Java Script programming
• Experience using InfoSphere MDM Collaborative Edition V10.1or previous IBM InfoSphere MDM Server for PIM V9.0 courses
• Experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Server
• Experience with the basics of banking and / or retail industries and product information management
• Experience with any IDE, such as IBM Rational Software Application Developer, Rational Software Architect, and Eclipse as the development platform.
• Experience designing and deploying reusable components in a Services Oriented Architecture.
• Experience designing and deploying solutions tailored for transactional workloads.
• Knowledge on current trends in data integration and business analytics technologies, with experience of Master Data.
• Experience with configuration of MDM system components leveraging message queue technologies.
• Experience delivering MDM solution components in an agile manner.
