As a member of our Systems Operations team you will monitor WTG systems globally for infrastructure conditions that can affect service availability, and co-ordinate incident response activities until the condition has been resolved. You will play an important role in ensuring the highest possible level of uptime to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Check the designated monitoring systems, SCOM and Solarwinds Network Performance Manager continuously for any new infrastructure alerts being raised for global support
• Follow a series of established basic troubleshooting procedures for any new alert to resolve the issue first. Any issues that can not be resolved by basic troubleshouting should then be escalated to the relevant Regional contact
• Solid knowledge & ability to resolve issues on VLAN, debugging of BGP, Cisco, Firewall ,VPN technologies.
• Hands on knowledge of Dell open manage server administrator system
• MS Server 2012/R2 & storage
• Knowledge of bot DAS and SAN storage technologies and management
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP
• Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching
• Maintain total situational awareness of all open incidents, including who the current incident owner is, what actions have been taken, and any ETA for resolution (where available)
• Maintain a clear record of incident ownership, the status of all open incidents and alerts, and actions taken to resolve
• Handing over all relevant shift information to the next NOC team member to ensure continuity of monitoring and incident specific knowledge
• Work with and provide feedback with the information services and product teams about incident trends and analysis

The successful applicant will possess:
• Min 5 years collective experience with troubleshooting of Network technologies within a global organisation
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose server or network alerts, events and issues
• Prior experience with operationally supporting technology infrastructure at scale
• Punctual and reliable
• Able to work well individually and without supervision
• Cool under pressure
• Analytical
• Naturally inclined to follow established procedures
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly

Desirable Education and Experience
• Completed CCNP in Routing & Switching
This role requires shift work to support a 24/7 Systems Operations Centre due to global infrastructure
