Purpose of the Position

Provide expertise in the analysis, design and development of custom program changes to resolve business change requests.Key Deliverables, amongst others
• Formulate and define application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems
• Develop and maintain application interfaces, reports, conversion programs, and custom functionality
• Help to prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written and design, test, debug and document programs and ensure production and quality of applications that meets specifications
• Enhance existing custom and standard reports/programs (BADI’s, BAPI’s, user-exits, field-exits, and enhancement points)
• Assist business process owners and support analysts in system and workflow problem solving (may involve system configuration)
• Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
• Manage interfaces between SAP and other TPT Operational Systems
• Comply with good governance and application development methodologies.
• Comply with Incident and Change Management Procedures.

Required Competencies

Qualification
• A tertiary qualification in ICT, Commerce or equivalent qualification.
• A focus on Information Technology and Programming will be advantageous.
• SAP ABAP Developer Certified

Experience
• At least five years developing in SAP – ABAP,
• A working knowledge of Webdynpro, SAP Enterprise Portal, Java and other web development tools
• A good understanding of SAP’s core modules as well as integration of the core modules.
• A good knowledge of the SAP landscape
• Knowledge of ASAP development methodology
• A sound knowledge of SAP tools and applications e.g. Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW), Solution Manager, SAP Productivity Pak, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of and experience in using:-
o SAP Tables,
o SAP tools like, LSMW, Batch Data Communication (BDC), etc.
o Interfaces and EDI technologies like Intermediate Document (IDOC) Interface, Application Link Enabling (ALE), etc.
o The SAP Query and Debugging Tools
o Smartforms
o Variants,
o Creating Z T-codes
o SAP Notes
o Workflow
